Martin Luther King's Last Speech: I've Been to the Mountaintop

Two small but huge truths: 6th Borough Project is addictive, and Martin Luther King Jr. is eternal.
A third big truth?
Craig Smith and Graeme Clark (also aka The Revenge) are two seriously weird dudes.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but with their feet, hearts, and souls in the U.S. — more specifically, in New York, or even more precisely, in the Sixth Borough, that famous non-existent borough no one wants to claim.
Sometimes it’s Yonkers, sometimes New Jersey so, besides being weird and addictive, the duo is also kind of snarky.
Nights Over Memphis is as beautiful as it is a masterclass in how far creativity can go with the right loop (Nights Over Egypt by Detroit’s own The Jones Girls), a sampled voice (I've Been to the Mountaintop, MLK’s final speech), and a message that hits deep.
Not much needs to be said about Martin Luther King Jr., and his last speech wasn’t just brave — it was a heartbreaking farewell from someone who, without a doubt, already knew he didn’t have much time left.
Then I stumbled upon a ten-minute first-person video of someone walking through Beale Street in Memphis at night, right by the legendary Mississippi River, just a few blocks from where MLK gave his final words in public, and ten minutes away from where he was assassinated the next day.
And of course, I also found a short video with his almost unintentional last words, plus another short clip that sums up my idea of a promised land: sitting on the ground, staring at a starry sky till sunrise, every single day.
I put it all together and simply called it Nights Over Memphis.

Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead.
But it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop.
And I don't mind.
Like anybody, I would like to live – a long life; longevity has its place.
But I'm not concerned about that now.
I just want to do God's will.
And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain.
And I've looked over.
And I've seen the Promised Land.
I may not get there with you.
But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land.
So I'm happy, tonight.
I'm not worried about anything.
I'm not fearing any man.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!
